Legal Internship

**General**:
The Legal intern will work under the Legal and Compliance Manager and will assist the Legal and Compliance Manager with all relevant administrative, legal and compliance tasks.

**Outline of duties and responsibilities**:
The Legal intern will offer support to the Legal and Compliance Manager in meeting all compliance-related and legal requirements. The role involves ensuring the provision of efficient and effective administrative, research and legal assistance.

**Outline of duties**:

- Assist Legal and Compliance Manager in administrative tasks;
- Attendance and minute taking of various hearings and enquiries;
- File and maintain legal documents;
- Legal research and analysis;
- Legal drafting and review;
- Court and administrative proceedings;
- Client communication and support;
- Information gathering and organisation;
- Daily record keeping with electronic and hard copy filing of documents;
- Prepare and format legal and management reports;
- Maintain and update databases and tracking systems; and
- Collaboration and teamwork.

**Hard Skills**
- Recent graduate (LLB or equivalent) from a recognised institution OR currently working towards LLB or equivalent;
- Strong analytical skills;
- Excellent communication, both verbal and written;
- Ability to grasp and interpret legal documents; and
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.

**Job Types**: Internship, Graduate

Pay: R8 000,00 per month
