**Facilitator/Moderator/Assessor**

**PURPOSE OF THE POSITION**

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic **Facilitator/Moderator/Assessor** who is **CETA (Construction Education and Training Authority)** accredited to join our training and development team.

As a Facilitator/Moderator/Assessor, you will be responsible for facilitating training sessions, moderating assessments to ensure they meet quality standards, and conducting assessments of learner competency in accordance with national qualification frameworks. You will also provide feedback to learners and maintain accurate records.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Facilitation**:

- Design and deliver engaging training sessions according to the approved training material and curriculum.
- Adapt training delivery to meet the learning styles and needs of individual learners.
- Ensure learners are provided with relevant and updated information, tools, and resources.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and interactive learning environment that encourages learner participation.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods (e.g., lectures, practical demonstrations, group discussions, etc.) to enhance learning outcomes.

**2. Moderation**:

- Oversee the moderation of assessments and ensure that assessments align with CETA requirements and quality standards.
- Ensure fairness, consistency, and transparency in the moderation process.
- Provide feedback to assessors and guide them on best practices.
- Review and approve assessment decisions, ensuring compliance with national qualification frameworks.
- Conduct post-assessment evaluations and identify areas for improvement.

**3. Assessment**:

- Conduct assessments of learners based on CETA-accredited qualifications, ensuring the assessments are valid, reliable, and fair.
- Assess learners' knowledge, skills, and competencies against the relevant Unit Standards or Qualifications.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback to learners on their performance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments and results, in line with CETA and internal reporting requirements.
- Ensure that all assessments are compliant with CETA’s policies and procedures.

**Essential**:

- **CETA Accreditation**: Must be accredited by the Construction Education and Training Authority (CETA) to facilitate, moderate, and assess.
- **Relevant Qualification**: Minimum of a relevant NQF Level 5 qualification in the field of training and development, construction, or related field.
- **Experience**: At least 3 years of experience in facilitating, moderating, and assessing training programs in the construction sector or related industries.
- **Understanding of National Qualification Framework (NQF)**: Solid understanding of NQF qualifications, unit standards, and the principles of outcomes-based education.
- **Knowledge of CETA Guidelines**: Familiarity with CETA accreditation and quality assurance policies and processes.
- **Communication Skills**: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
- **Assessment Skills**: Proficient in conducting assessments, providing constructive feedback, and using assessment tools effectively.
- **Organizational Skills**: Strong administrative and organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
