PLC and Robotics Technician

Responsibility:

- Engineering knowledge - Strong understanding of the electrical, mechanical, and software engineering principles needed to create and maintain automated processes
- Design skills Developing a new process, PLC programmers use program architecture principles to design it and draft blueprints or 3D drawings
- Mechanical expertise when the time comes to physically put the process together, PLC programmers that can complete the technical aspects of installation
- Logical reasoning aside from using PLC programming languages such as ladder logic, programmers that use rational steps and mathematical concepts to design project flows
- Problem-solving skills in a project with many parts and a combination of software and electro-mechanical interfaces, things are bound to go wrong. PLC programmers must identify any problems source and create the best solution
- Program Human Machine Interface (HMI), Man Machine Interface (MMI), Operator Interface System (OIS), and Operator Interface Panel (OIP) devices.
- Design graphics for HMI, MMI, etc.
- Maintain programs and supporting documentation.
- Supply technical support to production and field service personnel

**Requirements**:

- Electrical / Millwright Qualification or similar
- PLC technical certification
- At least 5 to 10 years experience as a PLC programmer
- Knowledge of Computer tools (Excel, Word, Power Point.)
- Knowledge of AutoCAD
- Robot Programming
- Mechanical expertise
- Engineering knowledge
