The driver will report to the Site manager.

**Job Overview**

As the Plant Driver, this individual will be responsible for operating various of the plant’s commercial vehicles. Drivers are responsible to safely sold and purchased items to designated locations. They also inspect their cargo, purchase items and manage delivery traceability documentation. These professionals also regularly inspect their vehicles and trailers to identify and rectify any maintenance or safety concerns. Their routes can be regional or national, sometimes keeping the driver on the road for days or weeks at a time.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Loading and unloading the vehicles.
- Inspecting the vehicles to ensure safe operating conditions.
- Completing necessary paperwork relevant to each delivery
- Driving safely and following traffic laws, especially as they pertain to referred vehicles.
- Keeping a log of hours on the road, any traffic violations committed and similar activities.

**Requirements & Qualifications**
- Valid driving license
- Proven work experience as a Driver
- Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
- Extensive knowledge of applicable driving rules and regulations
- No recent driving violations.
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
- Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations.
- Time management. You will need to keep to a schedule to deliver goods to the correct destination at the designated time. This also means considering road and traffic conditions that might delay your arrival.
- Stress management: When emergencies arise, you will need to remain calm and think clearly.
- Problem-solving
- Communication: While drivers spend a significant amount of time on the job alone, they will still interact with customers and loading crews.
