**Barista Needed for Coffee Shop based in Diep River, Cape Town**

Location: In-Store, Diep River, Cape Town Reports to Store Manager

**Job Overview**

We're seeking a skilled Barista to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for crafting exceptional coffee and ensuring customer satisfaction.

**Important**:

- Can you reliably commute to Diep River for this job?
- Can you start early, from 6 am?

**Key Responsibilities**

**Cleanliness and Maintenance**:

- Maintain cleanliness of all equipment, including the coffee machine, grinders, and utensils
- Ensure the front of house area is spotless and well-organised

**Coffee Preparation**:

- Prepare all coffee products to our high standards
- Assist customers with coffee selection
- Use company terminology in team communications

**Organisation**:

- Complete opening and closing checklists
- Manage stock rotation and replenishment
- Assist with food preparation when required

**Customer Service**:

- Create a welcoming atmosphere for customers
- Work efficiently during peak hours
- Collaborate effectively with team members

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written
- Passion for coffee and customer service
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently
- Professional appearance and excellent hygiene
- Knowledge of food safety regulations (or willingness to learn)
- Confident and outgoing personality

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience as a barista or in a similar role
- Understanding of customer service principles
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including long hours when needed
- Commitment to ongoing learning and improvement
