Shift Technician

**Descriptions**:

- Monitor and control all extrusion processes to manufacture products that conform to specification.
- Ensure team follows process steps to conform to ISO specifications and other relevant procedures.
- Take full responsibility for process and product quality.
- Responsible for timeous, correct line set-ups and changeovers for different products and record all relevant set-up information. This includes tool changes, feeder changes and raw material changes.
- Analyse process and product deviations and problems; perform adjustments and troubleshooting.
- High focus on OEE indicators (Availability, Performance, Quality).
- Monitor and inspect machines and equipment to maintain a high level of mechanical performance.
- Maintain team morale and discipline - control attendance and punctuality and maintain records.
- Keep production area and facilities in a good, organised and safe condition.
- Drive operational excellent activities such as 5S, set-ups, autonomous maintenance, root cause & corrective action, rapid problem solving, FIFO, tier meetings and skills development.
- Do maintenance work on shift as required and assist with general maintenance activities.

**Qualifications**:

- Red Seal Certification
- N4+ Electrical Qualification / Millwright
- 5+ years in manufacturing environment (extrusion experience advantageous)
- 3+ years in a position that supervised/managed a team
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
- Excellent numeracy skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Computer literate
- Good team player
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Energetic and dynamic
- Valid driver’s license
- Forklift licence
