Overview

Hire Resolve’s client is excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for an Electrical Technician in Cape Town. Our client, a leader in the Oil and Gas Engineering Industry, is looking for a talented technician to contribute to a wide range of projects and maintenance tasks. As an Electrical Technician, you will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability of electrical systems that support utility operations.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment.
- Install and commission electrical systems, control panels, and instrumentation.
- Wire and connect electrical circuits according to codes and safety standards.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Ensure safety compliance and follow risk management protocols.

Requirements:

- Grade 12 or equivalent
- N3 Certificate or higher in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably within the utility sector
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and troubleshooting practices
- Proficiency in reading electrical diagrams and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective communication skills in both Afrikaans and English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required
- Commitment to safety standards and regulations
- Proficient in using computer applications, especially MS Office
