Job Description

We are seeking a versatile and skilled Electrical Millwright to join our team. The Electrical Millwright will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electrical systems in our solvent recovery and recycling equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of both electrical and mechanical disciplines to ensure the seamless operation of machinery and systems.

Responsibilities

- Install, maintain, and repair mechanical and electrical components of equipment, including motors, conveyors, pumps, and control systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks on machinery and systems to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
- Calibrate and program control systems, including PLCs, VSDs, and other automation equipment.
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams to implement system upgrades and improvements.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational requirements.
- Adhere to company policies and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and spare parts usage.
- Train and mentor team members on electrical and mechanical system operations as required.

Qualifications/Requirements

- Trade certification as a Millwright (Red Seal) or equivalent.
- Proven experience (10+ years) in electrical and mechanical maintenance, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring, motors, control systems, and automation.
- Proficiency in mechanical maintenance tasks, including alignment, lubrication, and part replacement.
- Experience working with PLCs, VSDs, and other industrial automation systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical and mechanical problems efficiently.
- Familiarity with industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues and supervisors.
- Flexibility to work on-site and travel to project locations as required.
