Hire Resolve is seeking a highly skilled Electrical and C&I (Control & Instrumentation) Draughtsman to join our client's engineering team. This role offers an enriching opportunity to contribute to a variety of projects within the sector while collaborating with a team of professionals dedicated to excellence in engineering.

As an Electrical and C&I Draughtsman, you will be responsible for creating detailed electrical and C&I drawings, supporting the overall project design process, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Your expertise will play a vital role in the successful execution of projects, making this a key position within the organization.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with Design Engineers to interpret project requirements and specifications effectively.
- Develop concept, basic, and detailed designs, producing accurate drawings for MV, LV, and DC systems.
- Assist in installation activities by verifying as-built statuses, updating drawings, and supporting testing and commissioning efforts.
- Maintain a high quality of work to adhere to project deadlines.
- Integrate electrical and C&I designs with civil, mechanical, and piping layouts.

Requirements

- Minimum National Certificate level 5 in a relevant draughting qualification from an accredited college or equivalent, OR
- National Diploma in electrical / electronic engineering from an accredited university or equivalent,
- Minimum of 4 years in the area of C&I and electrical design
- Previous experience in the Oil & Gas industry and Renewable Energy will be an advantage
- Good understanding of General Arrangement Layouts, Single Line Diagrams, Circuit Diagrams, Loop Diagrams, Termination Diagrams, Cable Block Diagrams, Fire Detection Layouts, Small Power and Lighting, Solar Plant Layouts, etc.
- Knowledge of Electrical Underground Ducts, Electrical Grounding, Small Power & Lighting, Electrical Equipment Layout, Cable Tray Layouts, and Standard Installation detail drawings.
- Good practical knowledge of control systems – PLC, DCS.
- Working knowledge of LV, MV, DC system designs.
- Working knowledge of the OHS Act and its Regulations.
- Good understanding of quality systems – ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 18001.
- Working knowledge of standards and practices within the C&I / electrical discipline.
