Key Responsibilities:
Reservoir Management:

- Lead reservoir analysis and simulation studies to optimize production and recovery rates.
- Develop and implement reservoir management plans, including enhanced recovery techniques.
- Monitor reservoir performance and recommend adjustments to production strategies.

Team Leadership:

- Manage and mentor a team of reservoir engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
- Ensure the team is equipped with the necessary tools and training to meet project goals.

Field Development Planning:

- Oversee the preparation of field development plans, ensuring alignment with company objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Provide input on well placement, drilling strategies, and production optimization.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

- Analyze reservoir data, including pressure tests, production logs, and well performance metrics.
- Prepare and present detailed reports and forecasts to senior management and stakeholders.

Collaboration:

- Work closely with geologists, production engineers, and other technical teams to integrate reservoir data into broader project strategies.
- Collaborate with external consultants and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.

Innovation & Technology:

- Stay updated on the latest advancements in reservoir engineering technologies and apply them to improve operations.
- Drive innovation and implement best practices to enhance reservoir performance and sustainability.

Compliance & Risk Management:

- Ensure all reservoir engineering activities comply with local, national, and international regulations.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelors degree in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, or a related field (Masters degree is advantageous).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in reservoir engineering, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Strong expertise in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Eclipse, CMG, Petrel).
- In-depth knowledge of reservoir management techniques and enhanced oil recovery methods.
- Familiarity with South African regulatory frameworks and industry standards.
