We seek a motivated and adaptable Software Developer (L2) to join our software development team. Key Responsibilities

1. Legacy Code Management:

1. Analyze, debug, and improve existing .NET-based legacy systems to ensure reliability and performance.

2. Document, refactor, and optimize legacy codebases while minimizing disruption to business operations.

3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the context and nuances of legacy systems.

2. Modernization Efforts:

1. Actively participate in migrating legacy systems to modern platforms, tools, and architectures.

2. Contribute to the design and development of new solutions using appropriate platforms.

3. Assist and learn to implement best practices for CI/CD, telemetry, observability, and containerization where appropriate.

3. Development & Collaboration:

1. Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code that adheres to coding standards and best practices.

2. Collaborate closely with team members, business analysts, and product managers to deliver high-quality software.

3. Participate in code reviews and technical discussions and learn about the assigned applications.

4. Problem Solving & Versatility:

1. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across various application stack layers.

2. Work flexibly across front-end, back-end, and database layers as project needs require.

Required Qualifications

1. Technical Skills:

1. Proficiency in C# and the .NET platform (Framework and Core).

2. Exposure to .Net-based content management systems and customization of content management systems.

3. Strong experience with ASP.NET MVC, Web API, and RESTful services.

4. Strong experience with vanilla JavaScript.

5. Experience with TypeScript.

6. Experience with AngularJS.

7. Familiarity with Entity Framework or other ORM tools.

8. Hands-on experience with SQL Server, including database design, query optimization, and stored procedures.

9. Knowledge of version control systems such as Git and experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred).

10. Demonstrable experience in using AI tooling in the context of legacy code to increase code quality and productivity.

11. Unit test and test automation experience.

2. Experience with Legacy Systems:

1. Demonstrated ability to understand and enhance existing codebases with minimal disruption.

2. Experience working with monolithic architectures and transitioning them to modern solutions.

3. Maintaining and converting AngularJS applications.

4. Asp.Net Webforms Applications.

5. .Net Winforms Applications.

6. Introducing test coverage in older applications.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Relevant tertiary qualifications are desirable.
2. 3 to 5 years of hands-on development experience in a team-focused environment.
3. Exposure to front-end frameworks like React or Angular.
4. Experience with modernizing legacy systems or applications, including re-platforming or re-architecting efforts.
5. Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) and modern software design patterns (e.g., microservices, event-driven architecture).
6. Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and container hosting options.
7. Familiarity with CMS systems such as Umbraco and DotNetNuke.
