Mineral Resource Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Mineral Resource Manager to join their mining operation in the North West Province. The successful candidate will manage mineral resource and reserve estimations, ensure accurate orebody grade and tonnage assessments using statistical and geostatistical methods, and participate in due diligence reviews. Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive mineral resource assessments and recommend strategies for optimal extraction.
- Undertake and collate mineral resource and reserve estimations.
- Ensure accurate geological orebody modelling and resource estimation.
- Collaborate with operational teams to improve mining efficiency and resource utilisation.
- Lead the planning and execution of mineral resource projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with resource extraction.
- Work closely with Geologists, Mining Engineers and other stakeholders to maximise mineral resource value.
- Prepare accurate and timely reports to support decision-making.
- Oversee the Rock Engineering and Environmental Departments. Minimum Requirements
- BSc degree in Geology.
- Minimum of 10 years progressive experience in mineral resource evaluation and management.
- Minimum of 10 years progressive experience in the mining industry.
- Surveying, rock engineering and mine planning experience is essential.
- Extensive experience using geological orebody modelling and estimation software.
- Strong knowledge of mining operations, with a focus on resource optimisation.
- Proven project management experience and the ability to address complex mining challenges.
- Comprehensive understanding of South African mining regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid drivers licence.
- Ability to obtain a Medical Certificate of Fitness.
- Ability to arrange transport to and from work.
