About the role
Finding better ways to provide the materials the world needs.
We are looking for a Sourcing Analyst who will support several business units in the RTP Africa region. The purpose of this role will be to Provides support to the Principal Sourcing on strategic sourcing projects which in some cases will contribute to the delivery of commercially favourable contracts and deliver optimal value to the Rio Tinto Business Unit.
Reporting to the Principal Sourcing you will:

- Handling individual sourcing projects and contribute to value delivery through the deployment of Best Practices, procurement tools and negotiation skills.
- Engaging, communicating, and influencing internal and external stakeholders at operational levels (Superintendent, Manager, Company representative)
- Providing analytical and commercial support to peers and more senior Sourcing Specialists in the group.

About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

- 2-5 years’ experience in Procurement
- Degree or Diploma (Commerce, Legal, Engineering)
- Interpersonal skills and the ability to engage
- An appreciation and ability to grasp Commercial Law, BBBEE and Mining requirements.
- Familiarity or an ability to quickly understand a variety of supply chain concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Proficient in English and French language will be advantageous
- Computer literate on MS Word & Excel
- Experience working on SAP & Ariba systems
- Experience in working within a multi-cultural environment
- Project Management experience
