You will work as part of the team, ensuring our operation runs smoothly and on schedule.

Qualifications | Knowledge

1. High School Diploma or Equivalent
2. Must be certified L2/L3 or L1/L2 (US229998 & US229995; US14706)
3. Certification in mechanical lifting advantageous (US253582)
4. Significant work experience as a rigger, 2+ years minimum
5. RAN, RF and MW Equipment, config, routing and troubleshooting (3 – 5 years)
6. Must be up to date with, and willing to comply with all OHSA Safety Standards
7. Familiar with all necessary safety equipment
8. Able to assess each load and select proper equipment for the job
9. Solid working knowledge of all rigging equipment
10. Able to inspect rigging equipment to ensure it is in good working order
11. Experience with assembly and disassembly of rigging equipment
12. Solid maths skills for calculating load requirements
13. Physically capable of working in demanding conditions
14. Physical ability to sit, stand, bend, and lift heavy loads
15. Excellent vision and hearing
16. Ability to safely work at heights, and/or climbing of ladders, scaffolding, etc. (US229998)
17. Fluent in English, bilingual advantageous
18. Reliable and hardworking with a team-player attitude
19. Site reticulation knowledge and skills (3 – 5 years)

Experience

1. Experience with mobile operator (Vodacom) processes (2+ years)
2. Install equipment, including base stations, antennas, radio units, and associated hardware, in accordance with project specifications
3. Managing a 3–4-man team and complex solutions and actions to achieve set targets
4. Technical understanding and zeal. Troubleshoot and resolve issues regarding equipment faults, through systematic diagnosis and various techniques
5. Proven skills on RF and RAN technologies (2+ years)

Tasks and Responsibilities

1. Attach and detach loads properly and safely
2. Communicate with all team members effectively
3. Ensure compliance with all safety rules and regulations
4. Monitor and maintain all rigging equipment to ensure safety
5. Report all safety concerns and issues to management immediately
6. Safely and properly attach and utilise all pulley and block systems
7. Set-up and disassemble necessary equipment
8. Properly select correct gear for the job
9. Maintain control of all loads at all times
10. Manoeuvre loads through difficult and confined spaces
11. Work co-operatively with erection team to meet requirements
12. Adhere to SHEQ processes and procedures
