Draughtsperson (Steel)

Hire Resolve is seeking a talented Draughtsperson with a specialization in Steel to join a dynamic engineering and manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans for various steel structures and components. Your expertise will contribute to ensuring that all designs meet industry standards and client specifications.

Your role will involve collaborating closely with engineers and project managers to develop accurate and efficient design solutions that optimize functionality and efficiency in steel manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

- Lead design and drafting for flat laser operations.
- Create detailed technical drawings and schematics.
- Program and manage flat laser machine queries.
- Handle client requests and ensure compliance with ISO standards.
- Mentor machine operators and develop training materials.
- Organize and manage documentation for easy retrieval.
- Generate and validate complex 3D models and simulations.
- Conduct safety audits and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Track and manage design data, project timelines, and budgets.
- Integrate design workflows with ERP systems for streamlined production.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Certificate in CAD/SolidWorks.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Draughtsperson in a steel manufacturing environment.
- Expertise in operating and programming laser cutting machines.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and performing minor repairs on laser cutting machines.
- Understanding of steel plates, material grades, and industrial applications.
- Knowledge of CNC systems for laser cutting.
- Familiarity with software such as Excel, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, BySoft, SigmaNest, and E-Track.
- In-depth knowledge of safety standards and machinery operation regulations.
