- Matric
- 35 years of experience in a technical, mechanical, agricultural or machinery-related environment
- Experience servicing, maintaining and repairing machinery
- Experience with different types of erecting or packaging machines will be advantageous
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic abilities
- Valid Code 8 driver's licence
- Computer literacy, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to interact professionally with customers at different levels
- Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites
- Available to work overtime, weekends and after hours when required
- Able to work independently and manage own workload
- Self-motivated, proactive and goal-oriented
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Customer-focused with good communication skills
- Direct carton erecting machine experience will be advantageous, but candidates with transferable machinery servicing and repair experience are encouraged to apply RESPONSIBILITIES
- Service, maintain and repair carton erecting machines at various customer sites
- Ensuring that machines operate efficiently through preventative maintenance, fault-finding, diagnostics and repairs
- Service, maintain and repair carton erecting machines at various customer sites
- Conduct planned and preventative maintenance
- Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out necessary repairs
- Attend breakdowns and customer call-outs when required
- Conduct regular visits to packhouses and customer premises
- Minimise machine downtime through effective maintenance and fault resolution
- Ensure machinery operates efficiently and reliably
- Adhere to Health, Safety, Environmental and housekeeping standards
- Represent the organization professionally when interacting with customers
