JOB DESCRIPTION INFORMATION:

Job Title: SAP Architect (Solution Manager Specialist)
Employment Type: 2 Year Fixed Term Contract
Work Model: Fully Remote

JOB CONTEXT:

This role is pivotal in overseeing the administration, configuration, and optimization of SAP Solution Manager to support the Companys IT Hubs strategic initiatives and operations effectively.

THE JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1. Technical:

- Serve as the subject matter expert on SAP Solution Manager functionalities, including ChaRM, ITSM, monitoring, and reporting tools.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution for complex technical issues related to SAP Solution Manager.

2. Project Management and Integration:

- Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to define requirements and implement SAP Solution Manager solutions for new projects and enhancements.
- Manage change requests, deployments, and integration of SAP Solution Manager with other enterprise systems.

3. Administration and Governance:

- Lead the administration and governance of SAP Solution Manager systems, ensuring adherence to best practices, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee system upgrades, patches, and performance tuning activities.

4. Performance and Optimisation:

- Recommend and implement automation solutions to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.

5. Documentation and Training:

- Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and guidelines.
- Conduct training sessions for teams on SAP Solution Manager capabilities and best practices.

6. Strategic Technical Leadership:

- Provide strategic direction and leadership in the implementation, configuration, and utilization of SAP Solution Manager across the company IT Hub product portfolio.
- Develop and execute a roadmap for continuous improvement of SAP Solution Manager functionalities and integration with SAP and non-SAP systems.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION:

- Minimum NQF 7 - BSC/BCom/BTech in Information Technology, Information Systems Engineering or Computer Science or relevant equivalent.
- Extensive experience (5+ years) in SAP Solution Manager administration, configuration, and support, with a track record of successful implementations.
- SAP certification in Solution Manager or relevant modules.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP Solution Manager functionalities such as ChaRM, ITSM, BPM, and monitoring tools.
- Strong understanding of SAP Basis administration and integration with SAP ECC, S/4HANA, and other SAP modules.
- Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum/SAFe etc)
- Proven leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

PREFERRED ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

- Experience with SAP Cloud Platform Integration, SAP Fiori, and other SAP technologies.
- Knowledge of ITIL framework and its application in SAP environments.
- Experience with SAP BTP (business Technology Platform).
