Performance Test Engineer

Main Responsibilities will include:
1. Analyse requirements and develop test scenarios
2. Design, implement and execute (automated) testing, to ensure comprehensive solution validation and verification against approved business and technical requirements
3. Plan, schedule and prioritise tests to meet development targets
4. Prepare and maintain test environments, including the creation of appropriate test data
5. Maintain and enhance the test case repository
6. Provide test results and test status to relevant stakeholders
7. Ensure risks have appropriate mitigation strategies and escalated where necessary
8. Seek to continuously improve software quality, testing tools, testing processes and testing environments
9. Implement and maintain good software engineering principles and practices in designing and maintaining automated test suites and execution environments.
Qualifications and Experience required:
1. 3-4 year degree or diploma or relevant work experience
2. ISTQB / ISEB Certification would be advantageous
3. Proven experience in automated testing methodologies
4. Proficiency in executing SQL queries to perform data testing and validation in the database.
5. Azure cloud experience beneficial (e.g. Azure Load Testing, DevOps pipelines, etc)
Technical Skills and Experience:
1. 2-5 years testing experience (in automation testing and non-functional testing)
2. Technical/development background/understanding is required
3. Sound understanding of software testing approaches, methodologies and frameworks
4. Experience in an agile team and understand agile frameworks (e.g. Scrum)
5. Strong analytical, technical and troubleshooting skills
6. Experience with isolating, testing and monitoring different architectural components of the system under test, including client-side, application, database and network components.
