The purpose of this role is to create positive relationships with everyone involved in providing support to the individuals within our residential homes and ensure a high quality of service and people-centred care is provided.

Key responsibilities of the Deputy Care Manager include:

- Maintain a high-quality service by working in partnership with colleagues and stakeholders to manage and support all services
- Create and develop positive relationships with families and other professionals
- Assist the Registered Manager with reviewing budgets, staff rotas, complaints, and relationship building with external regulatory bodies
- Provide support, supervision, development, and mentoring to all staff including appraisal and supervision
- Contribute to the development of new policies and practices within the Home and maintain the quality management system for the organisation while adhering to the CQC standards and regulations
- Cover the manager during absences

Experience and Skills required for the Deputy Care Manager:

- Willingness to undertake the Skills for Care Induction
- Qualified QCF Level 3 or NVQ Level 3/4
- Previous experience working in a residential/supported living setting including supervisory responsibilities, supporting Adults with Learning Disabilities
- Experience in person-centred planning, care and support planning, and risk assessment
