AECOM South Africa is looking for a Candidate Technologist to contribute to the delivery of diverse local and international bridge projects.

Job Summary:

- Design and planning of new bridges, culverts, and other road and rail structures in accordance with TMH7 and other relevant codes.
- 2D drawing production in Autodesk or Bentley software
- 3D modelling of bridges and culverts based on Civil 3D geometric road models
- Preparation and management of construction drawings for bridges, culverts and other road related structures
- Preparation and management of reinforcement detailing and bending schedules
- Preparation and management of project specifications and bills of quantities
- Assist with the inspection of bridges and culverts in accordance with TMH19
- Applying the AECOM Quality Management System (QMS) in all work.

Minimum Requirements:

- Zero to four years’ experience (including appropriate site experience)
- Experience in the design and or drawing production of bridges and other civil structures will be a benefit
- Experience in the inspection of bridges and culverts will be a benefit;
- Knowledge of international bridge regulations and standards bridge design codes (AASHTO, AREMA, etc.) will be a benefit
- Knowledge of the SANRAL and Western Cape Government drawing procedures will be a benefit
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroStation, Revit, Sofistik Bridge Modeler, Open Roads Open Bridge, or CADS RC will be a benefit
- Experience in structural steel detailing and or reinforcement detailing will be a benefit

Personal Attributes:

- Ability to plan and execute work independently
- Dedicated to deliver correct and accurate work
- Good communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- BTech in Civil Engineering
