Are you a skilled IT Security Engineer / Network Security Engineer with a passion for safeguarding critical infrastructure? Join a leading manufacturing company in the Durban area and play a key role in securing their operations from emerging cyber threats. This is an on-site role.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, implement, and maintain security protocols to protect the company’s IT systems.

2. Monitor and analyze security breaches, vulnerabilities, and incidents, ensuring timely responses.

3. Collaborate with the IT and operations teams to secure networks, applications, and databases.

4. Perform regular risk assessments, audits, and penetration tests to identify potential security gaps.

5. Manage security tools such as firewalls, anti-virus software, and intrusion detection systems.

6. Stay updated with the latest security trends, threats, and regulatory requirements, applying best practices.

Requirements:

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT security, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

2. Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, protocols, and tools (e.g., firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS).

3. Experience with incident response, network security, and data protection.

4. Proficiency in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating security vulnerabilities.

5. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH would be advantageous.
