Plumber | Overstrand | Plumbing industry

Were seeking a skilled plumber to join our team in the Overstrand area. In this role, youll handle essential plumbing installations, conduct repairs, and ensure all plumbing systems operate smoothly as per call outs. We are looking for someone with exceptional plumbing skills, strong customer service skills, and a commitment to helping customers. We service the following areas: Rooi Els, Pringle Bay, Bettys Bay and Kleinmond; both new builds and plumbing related call outs and emergencies in these areas. Hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm with the occasional work on Saturdays and Public Holidays when required, depending on call outs. ALL applicants must have a valid drivers license and be an experienced driver.

Responsibilities to include but not limited to:

- Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures (such as sinks, toilets, and water heaters) in commercial and residential structures.
- Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other professionals during construction.
- Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems, identifying and diagnosing plumbing problems using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Keep accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed, and materials used.
- Adhere to all plumbing building codes and regulations.
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and follows best practices.

Experience and skills required:

- Must have Matric.
- Plumbing qualification / license.
- 1-3 years experience as a plumber.
- Valid drivers license.
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems, including water supply and drainage.
- Knowledge of local building plumbing codes and regulations.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing challenges accordingly.
- Communication and intrapersonal skills, including customer service.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with the intricacies of working with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper.
- Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in basic mathematics and measurement conversion.
