Requirements:

- Requires 3-5 years plus hardware office automation repair and service experience.
- Requires medium level computer literacy.
- Requires basic software experience in device installations, printer driver installation and scanning setup.

Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to:
Installation and Setup:

- Install and configure printers, copiers, and other office equipment on customer networks and sites.
- Configure device rules, functionality and features according to customers requirements.
- Set up device network connectivity, drivers, and software to enable optimal device functionality.
- Conduct device testing to fault find and ensure devices are functioning optimally and correctly.

Maintenance and Repair:

- Perform routine maintenance tasks on printers and copiers, such as servicing, cleaning, maintaining and replacing spare components on devices.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and repairing hardware and software issues to identify the root cause of problems.
- Repair or replace faulty components, such as drums, fuser units or components, developer units, feed rollers, circuit boards and sensors.
- Diagnose and replace device electrical components such as circuit boards and sensors on device failure.
- Maintain and update device firmware for performance and security.

Customer Support:

- Provide technical support in person, via phone, or remotely.
- Resolve customer issues with minimal downtime.
- Educate customers on device operation and maintenance.

Quality Assurance:

- Test repaired or serviced devices to verify proper functionality before returning them to customers.
- Perform quality checks to ensure print and copy output meets established standards.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in printer and copier systems.

Inventory and Documentation:

- Maintain an inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies needed for repairs and maintenance.
- Order replacement parts and supplies as necessary, ensuring timely availability.
- Keep detailed records of service requests, repairs performed, and customer interactions.

Preference will be given to candidates residing in the PE area.
