4. Manage inventory levels to avoid stockouts or overstocking while ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.

4. Policy and Compliance

1. Establish and enforce procurement policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and mitigate potential risks.

2. Ensure procurement practices adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., anti-bribery laws, conflict of interest policies).

3. Drive ethical sourcing initiatives, ensuring that all goods and services are sourced responsibly and sustainably.

5. Team Management and Development

1. Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team, providing guidance on best practices, procurement strategies, and process improvements.

2. Set clear goals and performance metrics for the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

3. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to support career development and progression within the team.

4. Ensure the team is trained on procurement systems, company policies, and relevant legal or regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is preferred.
2. Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
3. Proven experience in developing and implementing procurement strategies in a large organization.
4. Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, sourcing strategies, and contract negotiation.
5. Experience with procurement software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, e-sourcing platforms).
6. Experience managing a team and fostering a high-performance culture.
