Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Full Stack .NET Engineer to join Sedna’s Cape Town R&D hub, a centre of excellence in engineering and product innovation. This role focuses on developing and maintaining robust Windows applications that are integral to Sedna’s platform, with responsibilities spanning both front-end and back-end development. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your .NET and Azure expertise in enhancing our platform, ultimately improving the efficiency of global trade operations.

As the Full Stack .NET Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the Sedna product suite within Sedna’s technical ecosystem. Working as part of the Sedna Engineering team, you’ll focus on the technical advancement of the platform while ensuring seamless integration with Sedna products.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, optimise, and maintain scalable Windows applications within the Sedna suite.

- Collaborate closely with product and design teams to deliver user-centric solutions that address real-world requirements.

- Engage in the full software development lifecycle, covering design, implementation, testing, and deployment, while adhering to best practices in performance, security, and scalability.

- Advance Sedna’s vision by integrating MS Graph and Microsoft Exchange, enabling sophisticated functionality for user management, authentication, and communication workflows.

- Improve and enhance deployment pipelines for efficient releases and reliable updates across the platform.

- Participate in code reviews, contributing insights that uphold code quality and foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

- Proficiency in C# and .NET Core with a strong background in developing Windows applications, particularly in enterprise settings.

- Knowledge of front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue, ensuring smooth integration between back-end services and user interfaces.

- Familiarity with Azure services, including experience with deployment and management within the Azure ecosystem, is advantageous.

- Significant experience with Microsoft Graph and Exchange is highly desirable, supporting integration with existing systems and enhancing communication workflows within Sedna.

- Experience with CI/CD tools and automation frameworks to support a rapid release cadence.

- Expertise in designing and optimising SQL Server databases or similar, with skills in schema design and query optimisation.

- Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly, both within the team and with cross-functional stakeholders.

- A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the initiative to identify issues and propose solutions that add value across teams and projects.
