Minimum requirements:

- Matric
- Diploma or bachelors degree in accounting, finance or related field, with relevant experience
- SAQA accredited qualification
- At least 4 - 5 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting, preferably in a senior or supervisory role
- Proficient in SAP and Excel or Quick books
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations and payment processes
- Provide managerial support for the daily, weekly and monthly accounting functions
- Review and verify invoices and check requests and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Partner with procurement and purchasing teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of purchase orders and goods receipts
- Sort, code and match invoices, and enter them into the managerial accounting system
- Prepare and perform payment runs and monitor payment accounts and balances
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and vendor statements, and research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
- Assist with month-end closing and reporting activities, including reconciliations, accruals and prepare accounts payable aging reports
- Generate reports and provide financial analysis related to accounts payable activities
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and internal controls and participate in audits and process improvement initiatives
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes affecting accounts payable processes
- Should be able to interpret financial statements
- Should be able to do payroll administration a must
- Prepare reports on petty cash requests and payments made by management
- Assist in preparation of tender documents as and when required by management
- Assist in any other ancillary duties as and when required by management
