Snr Sales Operations Consultant

At ABC Worldwide, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Snr Sales Ops Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our sales operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our sales processes and providing exceptional customer service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage administrative and operational tasks of the sales process, including quote stage through to client travel
- Check availability at company and 3rd party properties through various online platforms and email requests
- Compile options for Africa Specialist to present in a quote based on client requirements, with a focus on presenting upsell opportunities or alternatives when the original request is not possible
- Provisionally hold options with 3rd party suppliers, amend as required during requote phases, and ensure timely release of options no longer in play
- Provisionally hold company's accommodation on inventory management system
- Confirm all services upon guest confirmation, checking for accuracy
- Check invoices match costs in quote system and flag discrepancies to East Africa Specialist
- Liaise with finance team to ensure efficient allocation of deposit to booking
- Pre-travel reconfirmations with all suppliers, including checks on dietary requirements and rooming allocations
- Update systems with timings and booking references on behalf of East Africa Specialist at reconfirmation stage
- Prepare final documents for final checks by East Africa Specialist
- Report any errors or issues to line manager immediately on discovery
- Provide proactive support to colleagues in peak or leave times
- Proactive approach towards personal and departmental targets, working together with management to ensure targets are met
- Attend all training offered and proactively grow knowledge of company by researching products and destinations
- Take a proactive and adaptable approach to learning in terms of sales skills, systems, processes, and product knowledge
- Promote the image of the sales team as best in class externally with clients and internally with key stakeholders
- Uphold and contribute to the reputation of the company as a leading safari operator
- Adhere to company values of genuineness, honesty, quality, commitment, and care
- Attend all staff events within working hours
- Attend all Training & Development programs as required
- Work in Cape Town office from Monday – Friday, 9 hours per day, including 1 hour lunch break
- Be available afterhours and on weekends (i.e. standby occasionally) as and when needed
- Work alternative South African public holidays, for which time off in lieu may be compensated
- Overtime may be required during peak periods, for which time off in lieu may be compensated
- Operate a 24/7 emergency phone that rotates between consultants, taking full responsibility according to a roster for 1 week at a time
- May be required to travel for work from time to time (must have a valid passport)
- Must be fully vaccinated against Yellow Fever and COVID-19 as a condition to travel
