About the Role

Hire Resolve's client, a leading provider of commercial and industrial solar PV installation services, is seeking an experienced Solar Installation Supervisor to join their team in South Africa.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Leadership: Oversee the installation of solar PV projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to design specifications.
  2. Quality and Safety: Enforce company policies and procedures, emphasizing quality and safety standards throughout the installation process.
  3. Engineering and Installation: Follow engineering drawings and install systems to specifications, including AC and DC components, cable trays, and DB boards.
  4. Team Management: Lead and motivate installation crews, setting a positive tone and inspiring team members to exceed goals and expectations.
  5. Documentation and Reporting: Complete post-project documentation, including quality checklists, progress reports, and expense reports.
  6. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and inspect test equipment, ensuring calibration checks are performed regularly.
  7. Vehicle Management: Be responsible for company-issued vehicles, reporting roadworthiness and future-dated services.
  8. Communication: Maintain excellent lines of communication, providing constructive feedback to management and ensuring accuracy of timesheets.
  9. Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the site, office, and company vehicle.
Requirements
  1. Qualifications: Preferably a qualified electrician or 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  2. Technical Skills: Experience with AC installation, proficient in DC installations, and able to install and wire cable trays and DB boards as needed.
  3. Leadership and Communication: Strong team leadership abilities, effective communication skills, and organizational and planning skills.
