Wildlife Ecologist

Pro Personnel is seeking a highly skilled Bird and Bat Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our conservation team, you will be responsible for identifying bird and bat species, monitoring their populations, and analyzing data to inform conservation strategies.

• Species Identification: Utilize your expertise to identify various bird and bat species based on visual and auditory cues.
• Monitoring Techniques: Employ proficiency in using monitoring tools to collect data on bird and bat populations, behaviors, and habitats.
• Data Collection: Gather and record data on bird and bat populations, behaviors, and habitats, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
• Habitat Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of habitats preferred by birds and bats, evaluating their quality and suitability for these species.
• Fieldwork Skills: Conduct field surveys, including setting up monitoring stations, conducting transects, and following standardized protocols.
• Data Analysis: Analyze monitoring data using statistical tools and software to draw conclusions and make recommendations.
• Report Writing: Effectively communicate findings, prepare reports, and present results to stakeholders.
• Conservation Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on conservation issues affecting bird and bat populations, and apply knowledge of conservation strategies and practices.
• Safety Awareness: Adhere to safety protocols while working in the field, recognizing potential risks such as wildlife encounters and environmental hazards.

Requirements: A strong background in wildlife ecology, conservation biology, or a related field, with experience in species identification, monitoring, and data analysis. Excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
