Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the group consolidation process, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective budgeting and forecasting, and supporting the consolidation and inter-company accounting processes.

  • Consolidation Management: Manage the group consolidation process, ensuring that all subsidiary financials are accurately consolidated in line with IFRS/GAAP standards.
  • Inter-Company Accounting: Oversee and ensure proper inter-company accounting, including reconciliations of inter-company balances and elimination of inter-company transactions during consolidations.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS/GAAP and company policies.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting process for the group, working closely with business units to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Closing Process: Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes for the group, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded and compliant with regulatory standards.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Qualifications: BCom Accounting and a professional affiliation (Professional Accountant or CIMA).
  • Experience: A minimum of 8 years of experience in a Group Accountant role, or similar position, preferably within the entertainment or media industry.
Estimated Salary:

R1,200,000 - R1,500,000 per annum, depending on experience.
