Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate extrusion machines to produce plastic films, ensuring optimal extrusion quality and meeting customer specifications.
  • Adjust machine settings, monitor operations, and control parameters to maintain consistent product quality.
  • Conduct periodic quality checks, record production data, and ensure extruded products meet internal standards.
  • Regularly inspect and test extruded materials, making real-time adjustments to machine controls as needed.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot operational issues, ensuring minimal waste and optimal productivity.
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 education
  • 3 years of experience in blown film extrusion operations, preferably in the flexible packaging industry
  • Familiarity with extrusion machines, dies, and plastic material properties
  • Knowledge of machine controls, adjustments, and basic mechanical troubleshooting
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders and quality specifications
  • Physical ability to lift heavy materials, stand for long periods, and work in noisy or high-temperature environments
  • Shift work: Operators are required to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
