We are seeking an exceptional educator to join our team as a Computer Science IGCSE teacher at Nova Pioneer's Midrand Secondary School in Johannesburg, South Africa. As a senior member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, real-world computer science lessons that align with the Cambridge Computer Science curriculum requirements.
Key responsibilities include teaching Cambridge International Computer Science concepts to IGCSE and A Levels students, designing rigorous lesson plans, and delivering impactful and engaging enquiry-based lessons supported by technology. You will also observe, coach, and mentor new teachers, as well as conduct ongoing assessment of student progress.
To succeed in this role, you must have a BSc in Computer Science or a similar degree, completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), and be SACE registered. Additionally, you should have +3 years of teaching experience in computer science, a strong understanding of the Cambridge Computer Science Curriculum, and experience with programming languages such as Python, Visual Basic, and Pascal/Delphi.
