Draftsperson (Mechanical)

At Outsourced CAD Solutions, we are seeking a skilled Draughtsman (Agri) to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating detailed mechanical and mining drawings using Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit.

• Create detailed mechanical and mining drawings using Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit
• Work with engineers and project managers to develop designs for machinery, tools, and equipment specific to mining and mechanical industries
• Revise drawings and layouts to accommodate changes and enhancements
• Generate BOMs (Bill of Materials) for project use
• Ensure drawings adhere to relevant standards and regulations in the mining and mechanical sectors
• Collaborate with production teams and suppliers to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective
• Maintain a library of all project documentation and drawings for easy access and reference
• Conduct site visits to gather design requirements and validate existing systems, when necessary

Requirements:

• Matric
• Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit
• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in mechanical and mining drafting/design
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, fabrication processes, and materials
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to mining and mechanical engineering
