Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Clinical Educator Wound Care to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering clinical training and education programs to healthcare professionals and patients in the private hospital sector within Cape Town.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attend to clinical training in the private hospital sector, working with patients, nurses, and surgeons to provide high-quality wound care services.
- Maintain professional credentials and education to maintain status as a clinical expert in wound management.
- Support in-hospital wound care in conjunction with employed hospital staff, ensuring seamless delivery of patient care.
- Develop and implement new wound care protocols for follow-up visits, improving patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Deliver education programs to diverse groups of internal and external customers and end-users, driving better wound outcomes and improving care.
- Report back to senior leadership on key clinical learnings and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide clinical and operational support in the delivery of patient care in a hospital setting or clinical environment.
- Responsible for training physicians, clinicians, and nurses on procedures, protocols, and product use, ensuring optimal patient care.
- Assist with front office operations, including billing, invoicing, scheduling, tracking of procedures, reporting, and funder approvals.
Requirements:
- Effective written and presentation skills, with ability to read, analyze, and interpret clinical publications and scripts.
- Proven success with organization and time management skills, prioritizing multiple tasks to support internal and external customers and end-users.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with ability to tailor training and education to serve diverse audiences.
- High attention to clinical outcome and follow-through, with ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
