Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Communicate Recruitment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical design engineering, with a focus on chassis harness design and Siemens NX software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical systems, including 3D wiring design and 2D harness drawings and schematics.
  • Seamlessly integrate electrical components into various systems, ensuring efficient and effective design solutions.
  • Assess project scopes and manage timelines to ensure timely completion.
  • Create comprehensive bills of materials and corresponding 3D assemblies using Unigraphics NX.
  • Implement effective product data management by inputting designs and associated information into PDM software, such as Team Center.
  • Ensure designs adhere to supplier specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Prioritize cost-effectiveness, ease of installation, and maintenance during the design process.
  • Conduct thorough concept and design evaluations.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to optimize design solutions.
  • Analyze results to ensure alignment with customer requirements and industry standards.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination with other engineering disciplines and project teams.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in electrical design engineering.
  • Previous experience with OEM design is preferred.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software, particularly Siemens NX, is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with schematic design using Mentor Graphics Vesys is a plus.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail is essential for this role.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities are required.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
