Our client is a leading firm in the solar industry, seeking an experienced Intermediate - Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team in the Cape Town area.

Job Description
  • As a key member of the team, you will lead the design and engineering of solar power systems, including PV arrays, inverters, storage systems, and electrical distribution.
  • You will develop and review technical specifications, drawings, and calculations for solar projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations, codes, and standards related to solar energy installations.
  • This role involves providing guidance, mentorship, and technical support to team members, setting departmental goals and objectives aligned with the company's strategic vision, and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • You will collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution, and conduct technical reviews and feasibility assessments for solar project proposals.
Responsibilities
  • Design and engineer solar power systems, including PV arrays, inverters, storage systems, and electrical distribution.
  • Develop and review technical specifications, drawings, and calculations for solar projects.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, codes, and standards related to solar energy installations.
  • Guide, mentor, and support team members.
  • Set departmental goals and objectives.

Requirements
  • Diploma / BSc / Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience working with Solar is non-negotiable.
  • Must be able to travel.
  • Driver's license and own car.
