Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Division Manager to lead our team of electronics and software development experts. The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical management, design, and repair of all accelerator control electronics, as well as the coordination of efficient operation of the Tandem accelerator and ion implanter.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical management, design, and repair of all accelerator control electronics
  • Coordination of efficient operation of the Tandem accelerator and ion implanter
  • Supervision of maintenance of all accelerator and ion implanter beam-line components
  • Running of spare components and their replacements to minimize downtime
  • Development of relevant software
  • Maintenance of all electronics sub-systems within the laboratory
  • Design, development, and implementation of new electronics equipment required by users
  • Transfer of skills and mentor junior members of the division
  • Operational philosophies and software specifications for all accelerator-related facilities

Qualifications:

  • B.Sc / B.Eng / B.Tech (Electronic Engineering) or equivalent

Experience:

  • 10 years' experience in electronics, software design, development, and maintenance
  • At least 3 years leadership experience in a technical environment at junior management level
  • Experience in both analogue and digital electronics design, development, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Experience in laboratory instrumentation and control systems
  • Some experience in software development
