The South African National Blood Service is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team.
This role will be responsible for the full payroll function, ensuring that it aligns with our overall business strategy.
- Responsibilities include administering and proactively driving client services, meeting SLA's, and providing supportive administrative assistance to the department.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of relevant legislation governing payroll, including BCEA, Skills Development, UIF, Workman's Compensation/COID, etc.
We are looking for an individual with at least 5 years of specialized experience in payroll processing and 3 years of SAP finance proficiency.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be action-oriented, and have the ability to work under pressure.

The following key performance areas are expected of the incumbent:
- Prepare and capture SANBS payroll
- Maintain and monitor leave records on SAP HR
- Document control and general query document control
- Report writing
Key cognitive skills required include action orientation, problem-solving, planning, organizing, and monitoring. The incumbent will also need to demonstrate timely decision-making, personal development, and a drive for results.
In terms of interpersonal skills, the successful candidate will require customer service orientation, knowledge sharing, perseverance, and effective communication.
The position requires leadership skills, including practical execution management and strategic leadership. Additionally, the incumbent will need to possess an excellent working knowledge of relevant legislation governing payroll.
An education level of Grade 12 and a Payroll Diploma or Certificate is mandatory. Furthermore, proficiency in SAP HR/Payroll is essential.
