The successful candidate will report directly to the Cost Accountant and be based at our Head Office in Epping, Cape Town.","h2":"Key Responsibilities","ul":{"li":"Maintain accurate and integrated costing systems with specified primary and secondary cost centres","li":"Review and maintain data accumulation systems and controls for the cost accounting system and reporting within an accounting framework on a monthly basis","li":"Analyze expenses and ensure accurate allocation to correct primary and secondary cost centres","li":"Report on periodic variances and their causes, focusing on spending variances","li":"Provide detailed reports and explanations to line management","li":"Review overhead costs to ensure correct allocation and reporting","li":"Produce operational costing calculations, including transport job costing and tender costing","li":"Produce profitability calculations for manufacturing divisions","li":"Track capital project costs"},"h2":"Qualifying Criteria","ul":{"li":"National Diploma in Cost Accounting majoring in Costing","li":"Previous experience in a Costing environment is essential","li":"Knowledge and/or experience working on AccPac, TM1 Cognos and Fraxion is advantageous","li":"Advanced computer literacy, with high proficiency in MS Excel","li":"Manufacturing and/or Logistics background is advantageous","li":"Emotionally matured and dynamic individual","li":"Ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail","li":"Ability to work well under pressure","li":"Ability to collaborate with a multi-department team","li":"Must have clear credit and criminal clearance"},"h2":"Qualifying Attributes","ul":{"li":"Good communication skills","li":"Ability to work with minimum supervision","li":"Trustworthy and committed to a strong business ethic and integrity","li":"Ability to detect and solve problems","li":"Open-minded and logical thinker","li":"Self-motivated and results-oriented","li":"Team player","li":"Time management and organizational skills","li":"Professional work approach","li":"Logical and detail-oriented","li":"Excellent standards of execution","li":"Confidentiality, tact, and discretion are essential","li":"Ability to meet deadlines and deliver results"}
