Overview

We are seeking an experienced Communications Officer to join our team at LINKFIELDS INNOVATIONS (PTY) LTD.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Produce accurate and detailed estimates for allocated projects, ensuring that all required documentation is in place.
  2. Maintain and develop technical work practices to ensure consistency and quality in estimates.
  3. Develop and implement Estimate Plans in accordance with corporate and contractual procedures, aiming for internationally recognized best practices such as AACE RP 18R-97.
  4. Lead the development of capital cost estimates, ensuring alignment with the approved Estimate Plan and submission on time.
  5. Save estimates in a secure and organized manner for future reference and quality improvement.
  6. Monitor and analyze actual quantities and costs compared to estimated values to identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  1. A National Diploma in Engineering or Quantity Surveying or equivalent, or relevant experience in lieu of qualification requirements.
  2. A BSC Engineering Degree or Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
  3. Registration as a Professional Quantity Surveyor with the South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession.
  4. Minimum 4 years of working experience in a relevant industry environment.
  5. Advanced user skills in MS Excel, MS Access, and MS Word.
  6. Exposure to and understanding of the engineering and technical environment, particularly in the oil and gas sector.
