Job Title: Senior Education Specialist in Early Childhood Curriculum Development

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior Education Specialist to join our team at Kontak Recruitment. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional who shares our commitment to delivering exceptional educational outcomes in early childhood.

Key Responsibilities:
Bullet Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum frameworks that align with Higher Education Qualifications Framework (HEQF) and Council on Higher Education (CHE) standards.
bullet Collaborate with academic staff, regulatory bodies, and industry partners to ensure programme currency and relevance in the field of early childhood education.
bullet Oversee student recruitment, admission, and selection processes, prioritizing equity and accessibility.

Teaching and Academic Support:
Bullet Design and deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and tutorials that integrate theoretical knowledge with practical applications.
bullet Create and assess course materials to maintain high academic standards, ensuring alignment with HEQF and CHE requirements.
bullet Provide dedicated support to students, mentoring their academic and professional growth.

Work-Integrated Learning (WIL):
Bullet Manage all aspects of WIL programmes, including placements and compliance with industry standards for early childhood education.
bullet Develop innovative tracking systems for WIL activities, guaranteeing academic integrity and robust assessment methods.

Regulatory Compliance and Administration:
Bullet Ensure full compliance with CHE, DHET, and other regulatory requirements, adapting programmes as necessary.
bullet Maintain accurate academic records, managing student registration, assessment, and graduation processes.

Research and Professional Development:
Bullet Engage in research and publication to advance knowledge in foundational teaching.
bullet Facilitate training for faculty and staff on best practices in teaching and curriculum development, ensuring alignment with educational advancements.

Leadership and Faculty Management:
Bullet Participate in faculty governance, supporting strategic goals and policy development.
bullet Manage and support independent contractors and sessional lecturers, maintaining teaching quality.

Student Engagement and Career Support:
Bullet Foster an inclusive, dynamic learning environment that encourages active participation.
bullet Provide guidance on career paths in early childhood education, enhancing employability and career readiness for students.

Salary: R1,200,000 - R1,500,000 per annum, depending on experience.
