  • Update legal appointments and certifications as required.
  • Plan and conduct monthly safety awareness talks to promote a culture of safety.
  • Track evacuation drills and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Log and investigate incidents requiring medical treatment, and update incident tracking graphs.
  • Initiate annual refresher training for high-risk personnel, including forklift drivers, stackers, and first aiders.
  • Conduct health and safety audits across departments to identify areas for improvement.
  • Track new machine risk assessments and ensure timely completion.
  • Arrange annual and return-to-work medicals for high-risk employees.

Requirements:

  • Minimum N3 qualification in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical engineering.
  • Qualification in SHE management or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a safety officer.
  • Strong technical background and excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and reporting software.

Desirable Characteristics:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of OSH Act and other relevant legislation.
