Financial Manager Job Description

Exceed Human Resource Consultants is seeking a highly skilled Financial Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing internal control procedures, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and legislation, and providing strategic financial guidance to the organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective internal control procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the annual budget process, bi-annual forecasts, and financial reporting to the Board and Exco.
  • Oversee the preparation of management accounts, financial statements, and other financial reports.
  • Lead the finance team and provide guidance on financial matters to ensure the organization's financial goals are met.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment with business objectives and identify areas for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements, including tax and financial reporting.
  • Manage insurance requirements and ensure the organization has adequate coverage.
Requirements:
  • BCom in Accounting with registration as CA(SA) or CIMA.
  • 5 years of experience as a Financial Manager, with a proven track record of success in managing a finance team.
  • Knowledge of Syspro and advanced skills in MS Office.
  • Strategic and commercial mindset, with excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines to accomplish business objectives.
