Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Planning: Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet business objectives, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with current suppliers, negotiate prices, and source new suppliers for cost savings.
  • Order Management: Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely receipt of goods, reconcile orders, and verify prices.
  • Inventory Management: Collaborate with the Production Planner to coordinate direct goods orders and maintain inventory levels.
  • Quality Control: Work with the Quality Control team to approve new suppliers and materials, ensuring they meet company quality requirements.
  • Research and Development: Assist with R&D projects, including packaging or design changes, and coordinate with suppliers to obtain samples and prototypes.
  • Financial Management: Liaise with Accounts to approve and process payments, and reconcile orders at the end of each month to ensure invoice accuracy.

Requirements:

  • Education: Diploma or Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Management, or CIPS.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in procurement, with a focus on FMCG, Manufacturing, or Engineering purchasing.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, advanced Excel proficiency, excellent written and oral communication skills, and proficiency in conflict management and negotiation.
