About the Role

Santam is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Treasury Clerk to join our Corporate Services: Group Treasury team in Tygervalley Head Office, Bellville. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for executing and accounting for Treasury transactions, ensuring accurate and timely allocations, and providing exceptional support to internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform accounting for banking transactions for premium collection and claims bank accounts
  • Liaise and support internal stakeholders/divisions to ensure that allocations are performed timeously and accurately
  • Assist and resolve banking-related queries by engaging with various banks
  • Prepare month-end banking reconciliation summaries/reports
  • Support on Treasury process improvement and automation initiatives
Requirements
  • Minimum of B Tech Degree/Accounting diplomas with Financial Accounting major (non-negotiable)
  • Experience in preparing journals/accounting allocations using JD Edwards/SAP/Oracle system experience (non-negotiable)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience performing bank reconciliations and accounting within a large corporate Finance environment
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working with large volumes of transactional data
  • Understanding, improving, and maintenance of all accounting entries bank reconciliations and classes of transactions per bank account
