Overview:
As a key member of the production team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the food manufacturing process. Ensuring achievement of a daily plan, in compliance with business KPIs, health and safety objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supporting the Production Group Leader in achieving production targets and efficiencies.
  2. Day-to-day management (including people management) and reporting for areas under responsibility.
  3. Ensuring full compliance to all national OHS Act requirements and Nando's Feitoria Occupational Health and Safety & Food Safety regulations and policies.
  4. Action all Internal and External Safety Audit action plans relating to your section.


Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Matric or recognised equivalent qualification
  • Computer Literacy
  • Numeracy and Literacy Proficient
  • Mechanical engineering N3 – N6 advantageous
  • Counterbalance Forklift License
  • 2-3 years' Experience in a food manufacturing environment in progressively responsible roles and in a supervisory role
  • Experience as a key operator
  • Must understand LEAN principles
  • Knowledge of ERP System preferably SAP would be advantageous but extensive training will be given to the company
