Key Responsibilities:

  1. Architect and lead the development of data solutions, encompassing tech stack choices.
  2. Collaborate with business owners and customers on needs analysis and requirements gathering.
  3. Oversee all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), automated testing, and compliance standards.
  4. Recruit and build a high-performing team of developers to join this mission.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  1. At least 7 years of experience in designing and developing data platforms, with recent past experience.
  2. Strong problem-solving skills across general technology challenges.
  3. A proven track record of delivering high-quality software in agile team environments.
  4. Experience building or working on data platforms in SaaS environments.
  5. Comprehensive experience with Python, C#/.NET in data pipelines and API development.
  6. Experience with RESTful services, microservices architectures, and extensive database design and optimization (PostgreSQL).
  7. Experience in writing testable code, including unit tests and integration tests, as well as working with dedicated testing teams.
  8. Dashboard and report design and development experience (PowerBI, Superset, SSRS).
  9. Exposure or experience running workloads on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

This is a Remote position in Johannesburg, offering a salary of R1.8mil up to R2mil CTC, negotiable based on experience.
