About the Role:

The Head of Finance and Administration will be responsible for the optimal financial performance and business growth of the company. This requires a forward-thinking individual with strong business acumen to provide insights and optimize financial allocation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate, implement and monitor internal controls and processes, financial targets and budgets
  • Provide support to all areas of business, through system design and formulation
  • Offer financial planning and advisory services
  • Control financial transactions, accounting matters and audit systems
  • Oversee the preparation of annual financial statements, BBBEE audits and facilitation of external audits
  • Monitor compliance with capital, hedging, debt, taxation, equity and acquisitions
  • Manage cash, including operational and hedging activities
  • Review financial reporting packs
  • Manage stock control and operational costs
  • Conduct financial evaluations of potential acquisition and/or internal expansion opportunities
  • Finalize customer credit applications
  • Regularly review hedging strategy
  • Engage with customers and suppliers
  • Negotiate with banks and insurance service providers
  • Perform company risk reviews


Requirements:

  • Qualified CA(SA) essential
  • Completed SAICA articles
  • 7 to 9 years post-articles experience in a senior level financial management role essential
  • Manufacturing or FMCG industry experience essential
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience with hedge accounting preferred
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Able to analyze statistical information and interpret financial data to produce reports
  • Good oral and written communication skills
