Clinical Director of Psychiatry

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Clinical Director of Psychiatry to join our team at Marlborough Hospital. In this role, you will provide clinical, administrative, and managerial leadership for our 22-bed adult inpatient psychiatric unit.
You will oversee patient care with a focus on medication management and medical issues while maintaining a daily caseload. You will also conduct psychiatric assessments, participate in daily treatment team meetings, manage discharge planning, and facilitate family communications when necessary.
- You will represent the department on various hospital committees, present cases at Medical Staff Quality Assurance meetings, and lead performance improvement initiatives to ensure high standards of care.
- You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement innovative strategies to improve patient outcomes and enhance our reputation as a leader in psychiatric care.
This role requires strong academic credentials and sound clinical expertise, as well as proven administrative and managerial skills. Familiarity with quality assurance measures and regulatory compliance standards, such as those set by the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health (MA DMH) and The Joint Commission, is essential.
