About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Actuarial Specialist to join our Legacy and Product Management team within OMiX Savings & Income. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering market-leading investment solutions in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Investigate product rules, business optimisation, and feasibility studies, including product strategy.
  2. Own customer data and its use within the area.
  3. Oversee the delivery of management information reports.
  4. Implement product enhancements and system testing.
  5. Document product specifications.
  6. Support Proposition Management, Distribution channels, Servicing areas, and Technical Marketing functions in the ongoing maintenance and support of our Retail Investment propositions.
  7. Provide support across the PF, OM Wealth, and Corporate Segments for various initiatives and projects.
  8. Conduct product reviews and recommend decisive action relating to customer value for money.
  9. Automate processes and reports using programming/coding techniques.

Requirements

  1. A qualified actuary or Senior Actuarial student with at least 4 years of actuarial experience.
  2. Experience and knowledge of actuarial models used to support the above-mentioned products.
  3. Strong technical skills and attention to detail.
  4. Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team and across teams.
  5. Good communication skills (both written and verbal).
  6. Ability to plan and prioritise.
  7. Motivated self-starter who shows initiative, is proactive, and looks for ways to improve existing processes.
  8. Able to complete tasks within agreed timelines with limited guidance.
  9. High levels of drive, energy, and innovation.
  10. Programming knowledge and experience with SQL will be advantageous.
  11. Knowledge of Old Mutual's Retail Savings and Income products, IT platforms, and processes will be advantageous.
